About me - informally speaking:
I was born on an island, in the year when man landed on the moon and I was brought up surrounded by forests, lakes and waves of the sea. It was over 20 years ago when I took a camera in my hands for the first time. In the times of socialist substitute labels, when packaging was only newspaper with a stamp for a label. Nature and photograpy were then for me the basic carriers of aesthetics. Those were foolish and pioneering times and I was smart enough to develop my passions, at the beginning at photoclub XTL, then during my studies. There I met people who had a great impact on my thinking about photograpy. The first was Marek Pozniak, a dedicated artist, philosopher of photography, and a friend. The second was Bohdan Dziworski, professor, camera operator, photographer, and a fascinating personality. Others are Jurek Olek, Jakub Byrczyk, Marek Grygiel, Jerzy Lewczyński and many more of my friends, professors, and collegues from academy. Then I liked taking photographs so much, it still pleases me today. In a picture, I most value the light and the catching of a moment. The deeper meaning or the message are less interesting for me. The most important moments of my career in art? My first reflex camera, meeting Marek Po¼niak for the first time, my studies, discovering the secrets of measuring light.
